Have you ever felt the joy that you had experienced when you had received the thing which you had wanted? Till the time you had got that in your hands, you were anxious and worried. Jesus says in John 16: 24, “Until now, you have asked nothing in my Name; Ask, and you will receive that your joy may be full”. Jesus knows that we will have never have that complete joy till we receive the thing which we had asked for. He knows our thoughts and desires. But to receive the blessing which we want and to have that fullness of joy, there are some conditions to it, What are those?

• Abiding in Jesus- In the previous chapter of the above mentioned verse, Jesus says to his disciples John 15: 7- “If you abide in me and if my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you”. Abiding in Jesus in the simplest form is to be obedient to his commandments and to remain in the leading of his word and spirit thereby living a holy life.
• Asking in his will- You will not receive anything and everything you ask. What you ask should be in his will for you. In 1 John 5:14-15 it says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him”. Anything what we ask of him, if it has wrong motives to spend it on pleasures, we will not receive it. Anything what you need if you are asking out of envy and rivalry, you will not receive it (James 4:2-3).

Hence my dear friends, if you want your joy to be complete, Ask Jesus! Dwell in his word and abide in him. God loves you too much not to give you any wrong thing. He will give the right thing at the right time! It is his way! The right way! Amen! God Bless You!
