Its 2020!!! With all the wishes and dreams for this new year, there seems to be a myriad of emotions everywhere. We have come a long way and 2019 ain’t much better for many and awesome for some. One thing we have to remember is, through it all it was God’s grace which has led us thus far. If you look around, there are many who didn’t make it to the new year, some had passed away, some were hospitalized, some were bedridden and so on. We are privileged people to have made up to this new year safe and sound.

Before we anticipate the things waiting for us in this new year, let us be thankful and grateful to God for leading us through the past year through all the happy and good things, trials and tribulations. We would be nothing if not for God’s grace. His grace had been sufficient for us(2 Corinthians 12:9). It had found us when we least deserved it. When we were in deep sorrow, it was his awesome grace which had lifted us up.

If you are someone who is still struggling and good things hadn’t happened to you and you are looking at 2020 with confusion and anticipation, I would like to encourage you that our God is the God of the impossible, the God of eternal Grace. Therefore do not become weary and restless, be rest assured that in the wilderness you will find grace. Thus says the Lord, “The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness when I came to give them rest”(Jeremiah 31:2).  He will lead you in green pastures in this new year and your life is going to become much better filled with his manifold blessings.

With that in mind, let us all agree to move more closer to God in this new year, to spend more time in his presence, to pray and read his word everyday without fail, to do things for him and to renew our minds everyday in his glory.

Hope we will follow the above diligently and receive grace upon grace. I wish you all in this new year that, “The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace”!
