Thoughts are powerful. It can build you or destroy you. As I was wondering about the way thoughts playing a major role in life, I penned down those thoughts into a poem. Here it goes…

There is One thing which often pings

Sometimes stings and makes us fling

Is that thing called as “thoughts”

Which rings around a lot

There can be thoughts of joy

To ponder and enjoy

Also, thoughts that annoy

To irritate and destroy

Thought which are shallow

Comes in and goes

Thoughts that run deep

Swings in and seldom leaves

Anxious thoughts

Racks up the brain

Peaceful thoughts

Calms down the pain

Pessimistic thoughts

Drills up negativity

Optimistic thoughts

Instills positivity

Negative thoughts

Paves way for failure

Positive thoughts

Directs us to the future

There is this devil

Who is a labeled rebel

He has a goal

Our thoughts to control

If you are not prayerful

He becomes joyful

Lo, He comes running

And sets our mind spinning

Round and round it goes

Gathering all our woes

Alas, the mind gets clumsy

Pretty faces turn grumpy

It turns and churns

Dwells and swells

It grows and flows

Eventually, thoughts become acts

I got reminded of scripture

Cause it portrays this picture

As a man thinketh

So does he becometh

Renewal of mind

Is certainly necessary

Surrendering it to the Almighty

Removes captivity

Finally, my friends

Whatever is pure

Whatever is true

Whatever is honorable

Whatever is commendable

Whatever is right and whatsoever is lovely, Think about such things!
